Building permits in Las Vegas are issued by the City of Las Vegas Department of Building and Safety. Most residential permit applications are submitted online through the Las Vegas Online Dashboard portal at lasvegasnevada.gov/dashboard. Processing times for standard residential projects typically run 10–15 business days for structural residential review.

2024 International Residential Code (adopted January 2026). Las Vegas updated to the 2024 IRC in January 2026 — all permits submitted after that date follow the new code.
